Latest WWE News – Performer Mike Johnson, of the PWInsider specialist website, reported today that WWE has fired Robert Evans, member of the creative team, for one of the speeches he helped produce at the Hall Of Fame ceremony. According to the report, the reason for the dismissal is that the speech in question included a mention of Vince McMahon, which WWE wishes to avoid in the Hall Of Fame ceremonies.

At the moment, it is not known for certain what speech was the one that cost him the dismissal to Evans. During his speech, Bret Hart commented the first time that McMahon saw The Hart Foundation fight, while D-Generation X mentioned McMahon multiple times throughout his speech. According to Johnson, the dismissal took place in gorilla position while the ceremony was still being held.

Although he did not give names, X-Pac mentioned in the last episode of his podcast that someone ended up being fired by Bret Hart’s speech, but the lack of information means that it can not be assured that it is the same case.

Evans himself has made a statement about it through a short comical message on Twitter. Under the title “my official statement”, the creative published a screenshot of the application of notes of his mobile phone, in which he can read “I have left WWE”, followed by his shopping list.
