While issuing a statement on Sunday, the ICC said, “Match officials have confirmed that no action has been taken regarding the failure of the ball during the match played by Plunkett in the Rose Bowl. This relation was examined in detail and proof did not consider Plunkett guilty.

After being surrounded by such allegations, Plunkett himself had expressed concern about this matter in front of match officials. In that match, England had defeated Pakistan by 12 runs and gained 1-0 lead in the series of matches. The next match between the two teams is to be played in Bristol on Tuesday.
