Latest WWE News – Randy Orton was injured in his last televised fight against Aleister Black
WWE wrestler Randy Orton has not appeared on Smackdown Live for several weeks. His last television appearances were in the PPV WWE Super ShowDown where he beat Triple H and days later, on June 10, he had a fight against Aleister Black and since then nothing has been heard about him.
According to the Patty of Fightful (Fightful Select) Randy Orton was days away from taking vacations, but during the last fight against Black, it got stuck in his neck and caused an injury that has been evaluated since last week. The company gave him his vacation plus two additional weeks to rest. Orton was scheduled to return these days but due to a trip he has not returned yet. It is expected that this week, Orton will return to live events.
As for the injury, it is said that it is not serious and he was given enough time to heal, as there were no immediate plans for him to appear on television. It is not the first time that Orton has dealt with neck injuries, he had already suffered the same injury in 2015 that had left him out for a while.
Now with his possible return, Randy Orton could resume the plans he had hinted at on Twitter. A few weeks ago he had written that he could challenge the Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor, wanting to recover the first title he had won in WWE.
