Former Pakistani cricket player fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar described himself as the Don of Cricket. He tweeted, “I was called Don of Cricket, but I did not like to injure batsmen. I can say that when it was on the field then ran for love for the country and for the people around the world.”
Uses Sachin Tendulkar’s reminder:
After the Shoaib’s tweet, cricket fans pulled him out of his fast. The user posted the video of the innings played by Sachin Tendulkar in the 2003 World Cup against Pakistan and gave them a reply. Sachin had scored 98 off 75 balls against Pakistan in the Centurion of South Africa. In this innings he also hit a six on Shoaib’s ball.
Asked by Shoaib:
A fan posted a video of Tendulkar’s innings and wrote, “My friend, how can you forget that match when Sachin Tendulkar hit your balls. Another fan taunted, ‘You have given yourself the address of Don of Cricket itself.’ One of them asked Shoaib, “Have you given yourself the don of cricket gift?”
Shoaib’s name is 444 international wickets:
Shoaib resigned as advisor to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) last month. Shoaib, 47, former PCB chairman, appointed Najam Shetty as the advisor to the Pakistan Cricket Association. He played 46 Tests, 163 ODIs and 15 T20s in international cricket. Shoaib has a total of 444 international wickets.
