Injured at one knee, midfielder Juventus Turin, Sami Khedira, was operated in Germany. The Old Lady will be deprived of her German player in the next three months. It’s a blow for the Bianconeri.

We should not see Sami Khedira again on the grounds until the end of February. This Wednesday, Juventus Turin announced the duration of unavailability of its midfielder. “The operation went perfectly and the player can begin the re-education phase immediately,” the Turin club said in a statement. The former Real Madrid player, world champion with the Mannschaft in 2014, has played thirteen of the fourteen matches of Italian championship 2019-2020 Juve, currently second at one point from the leader, Inter Milan.

Sami Khedira, 32, missed only the last Sunday in Piedmont where the Bianconeri conceded a draw against Sassuolo (2-2), releasing their first home points of the season and at the same time the first place. The Stuttgart-based midfielder, who joined Juve in 2015 from Real, also participated in five UEFA Champions League matches led by Maurizio Sarri.

The Turin club, already qualified for the round of 16 and assured of first place in group D before the end, will play their last group stage match on December 11 in Leverkusen. Then come back on the European scene this winter. Perhaps with Sami Khedira for the knockout stages of the second leg, which will take place next March.
