Latest Cricket News – Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli was named Best International Cricketer of the Year at the ‘Seat Cricket Rating Awards 2019’ while Smriti Mandhana was named Best International Women’s Cricketer of the Year. Kohli also got the best batsman award while India’s top pacer Jasprit Bumrah got the best bowler award. These awards were given on Monday.
Veteran Cheteshwar Pujara was named Best International Test Cricketer and Rohit Sharma as Best International ODI Cricketer. Aron Finch of Australia received the Best T20 International Cricketer of the Year award. Kuldeep Yadav got the award for best performance in the year, while the best T-20 international bowler Rashid Khan of Afghanistan was elected.
Meanwhile, former India cricketer Mohinder Amarnath was given the Life Time Achievement Award. He played a key role in the team’s victory in the 1983 World Cup. India will play their first match against South Africa on June 5 in the forthcoming World Cup.
