John Morrison signs a multi-year agreement with WWE to make his return to the company official

The date of his debut is not yet known and in which brand he will fight

John Henningan, also known as John Morrison, has returned to WWE after signing a multi-year agreement with the company. This was confirmed last night by scoop Ryan Satin, a journalist for Pro Wrestling Sheet, during the broadcast of WWE Backstage on FS1 in the section The SatinSheet. WWE has confirmed the news on its official website, where it has not yet been revealed when it will make its return to television and in what brand it will.

“The Guru of Greatness is ready to return its Hollywood style to WWE for the first time since 2011. Morrison is still fondly remembered as a Tag Team champion and former intercontinental champion, and for his unique and exciting style in the ring, which was influenced for his extensive experience in parkour, “WWE wrote in the official press release published on his website.

Morrison also published the news through his official Twitter account: “Confirmed. I signed with WWE: I’ve never been as good at anything as in wrestling and I can’t wait to be back in a #WWE ring in front of the most talented people in the business! ”

Mike Johnson of PWInsider, advanced this news in September 2019, indicating that Morrison had already signed back then. The fighter tried to deny it by the following message posted on Twitter: “Thank you for the @PWInsidercom notice (laughs), please let me know when you have signed with AEW or ROH,” Hennigan wrote.

Morrison returns to WWE, at 39, for his second career in the company. During his first stay, he won the third season of the reality Tough Enough, won the WWE Intercontinental Championship, the WWE version of the ECW title and had several reigns of champion in pairs with Joey Mercury. In his time in the independent scene and other companies, Morrison has been champion of Underground Wrestling, such as Johnny Mundo, mega champion and cruiser champion of AAA and world champion of Impact Wrestling, such as Johnny Impact.
