Latest Cricket News –  India beat South Africa by an innings by 137 runs on the fourth day of the Pune Test to take an unassailable 2-0 lead. This is India’s 11th consecutive series win at home. The Indian captain followed South Africa on the fourth day and the bowlers piled on the visiting team for 189 runs after the T-break. This is India’s fourth win at the ICC World Test Championship. West Indies were also defeated 2–0 by India. After the match, Virat Kohli praised the team’s all-round performance and the excellent performance of the players.

Indian team captain Virat Kohli said, “When we started, we were at number seven in the Test rankings. We had only one way to go up. We explained to the players that we have to work hard. We are lucky that we have good players. This is the situation for the last three-four years. It is nice to see the passion within our players to do better. ”

Virat Kohli scored an impressive 254 runs in the first innings. He was adjudged ‘Man of the Match’ in the Pune Test. He said, “As I said a few days ago, it is a big thing to take the responsibility of captaincy. If you get into the field of batting thinking that you have to score a double century, then it is difficult, but if you play thinking that you have to play five sessions, then a double century is made automatically.

He added, “Earlier I used to think about personal performance, but now I am thinking about the team. I think I have proved a lot of people wrong. I am happy with where I am. Together we have brought the team to high. Obviously I am happy to score.

Explain that this is India’s 11th consecutive series win at home. With this victory, India also captured the Freedom Trophy by taking an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series. India lost the trophy in 2018 with a 1-2 defeat on the South Africa tour. The third and final match of the series between India and South Africa will be played in Ranchi from Saturday (19 October). “
