IND vs NZ: Beat India by four runs to win the three-match series 2-1,NZ won the series

IND vs NZ – Thanks to the strong performance of the batsmen under the leadership of Colin Munro, New Zealand won the three-match series 2-1 by defeating India by four runs in the third and final T20 International cricket match in a bigger score. Along with this, the invincible campaign of continuous successive series of India has ceased. Pakistan has been the most invincible in 11 series. India lost the last T20 series against the West Indies in 2017.

Chasing 213 against New Zealand, India could manage only 208 runs on six wickets despite Vijay Shankar (43), captain Rohit Sharma (38) and Rishabh Pant (28). Dinesh Karthik (Unbeaten 33, four sixes in 16 balls) and Krishna Pandya (26 not out from 13 balls, two fours, two sixes) shared 63 runs in 4.4 overs for the seventh wicket but could not win the team.

Daryl Mitchell and Mitchell Centancer took two and two wickets for 27 runs and 32 runs respectively. Earlier, Munro scored 72 runs in 40 balls with five sixes and five fours, besides Tim Seifert (43) with 80 for the first wicket and captain Ken Williamson (27) with 55 for the second wicket. Partnership, New Zealand scored 212 for four wickets.

Colin de Grandhomme (30) and Daryl Mitchell (11 not out in 11 balls) finally added 43 runs for 3.2 overs for the fourth wicket and played a key role in crossing the 200-over team score. Kuldeep Yadav was the most successful bowler from India, who got two wickets in 26 balls with four wickets in four overs. Krishna Pandya, 54 in four overs, while his younger brother Hardik  loses 44 runs in four innings. Khalil Ahmed also got one wicket by 47 runs. In all the bilateral series, these three bowlers have become the most expensive Indian bowler. Hardik scored 131 runs in three matches of the current series, Khaleel Ahmed scored 122 while Krunal got 119 runs.

India’s beginning to chase the target is bad. Shikhar Dhawan (05) spinner Mitchell Starc was bowled by Mitchell on the mid-wicket in the first over. Shikhar and Rohit then shifted to the innings. Shikhar hit two fours in a Scott Kuggeleijn while Rohit hit two boundaries on Tim Southee. Both of them reached the score of 50 in the sixth over.

Though Pant, after making 28 runs in 12 balls, was caught by Brendon McCullum off Blair Tickner. Hardic opened the account with sixes on Tickner and then hit Mitchell on consecutive balls with a four and a six. Rohit, however, went out of Mitchell’s off-side, caught by wicketkeeper  Tim Seifert at the ball. He faced 32 balls and hit three fours.

Hardik was also caught by Williamson after catching off Kuggeleijn. He scored 21 runs in 11 balls. India needed 68 runs to win in the last five overs. Mitchell sent Dhoni (2) to the sixth blow to India by sending the pavilion. India lost three wickets in four balls in the meantime.

Dinesh Karthik hit sixes on Mitchell and Tickner but did not give the required speed to pace. India needed 48 runs in the last three overs. Khaleel reduced the gap between the ball and the ball on the consistent balls of the South with sixes and two fours. In the 19th over of Kuggeleijn, Kartik and Khaleel scored 14 runs each with one six.

India needed 16 runs to win the last six balls but despite six sixes in the last ball of Kartik’s match, Southee scored 11 runs in this over. Earlier, Rohit won the toss and decided to bowl. Munro and Seyfert pair later gave the team a stormy start. Munro made an account with Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the first over with six sixes while seafront hit three fours and a six in Khalil’s first two overs.

Munro scored two sixes and a fours off 20 runs in Khaleel in the sixth over and reached the score of 50 runs across the team. Seifert also hit a six on Hardik but when Rohit got Kuldeep off the ball, wicketkeeper Dhoni stumped him at a stormy pace. Seifert hit three sixes in his 25-ball innings and so many fours. Munro hit Kuldeep on six and then reached Khaleel’s ball in the crowd by reaching half century in 28 balls and the team reached the score of 100 runs in the 11th over.

Munro, however, was lucky at the score of 60, when Khalil gave a catch to Hardik. Munro hit four and six in consecutive balls in this over. Munro, however, was caught in the next over after catching Hardik on Long Inn. Williamson’s contribution was only 15 runs in this partnership. Williamson hit two fours on Khalil but in the same over, giving easy catch to Kuldeep on short fine leg. He added 27 runs in 21 balls with three fours.

Colin de Grandhomme took charge after this He hit two fours in successive four minutes in Bhuvneshwar after making a six and four-wicket on Krunal. Mitchell also gave a caught over Bhuvneshwar. Rohit scored a hat-trick ball to take the catch of Grandhom on 26 runs Although Grandhomme could not take advantage of it and got caught out of the ball from Bhuvneshwar’s off-side. Mitchell finished the team’s 200 in the 19th over with a four over Bhuvneshwar
