Latest Football News – Borussia Dortmund, leader after the second day, lost 3-1 to Union Berlin on the pitch, leaving Leipzig alone in front of Bayern after three days.

Winner Friday night 3-1 in Mönchengladbach, the RB Leipzig is the only team to 9 points. Bayern are two goals ahead of Wolfsburg and Leverkusen. Dortmund is 5th with six points.

Marius Bülter scored twice for the Union (22nd and 50th), giving the team from the former Berlin-East Communist his first success – and what a success! – in the Bundesliga since its promotion. Paco Alcacer had reduced the score in the 25th minute, but Sebastian Andersson on the other hand showered the hopes of Borussia a quarter of an hour (3-1, 75th).

In the small (22,000-seat) but volcanic stadium of Alte Försterei, the stars of Dortmund lost their first game of the season, which they dominated. But faced with the effectiveness of the promoted, Borussia got entangled in the nets of a defense well in place and worn for 90 minutes by his public.

The referee had to briefly interrupt the game twice, first during clashes between ultras of both sides in the first half, then again when the two blocks of fans gave themselves up just after the break a “duel” of pyrotechnics, certainly spectacular but perfectly illegal and dangerous.
